Novus announces partnership with Porcher Abrasive Coatings (“Porcher”) to drive pan-European growth strategy
Novus, an independent private equity sponsor, announces its first deal with the acquisition of Porcher Abrasive Coatings, a UK-based manufacturer of high-performance industrial consumables, in partnership with the company’s founder, Edward Porcher.
Established in 1992, Porcher operates from its premises in Boston, Lincolnshire. The company has earned a reputation for excellence in manufacturing abrasive linings, surfaces, and coatings used across various industries. The coatings are shipped worldwide in a variety of applications ranging from food manufacturing and heavy industry to healthcare and hygiene.
Under Edward Porcher’s leadership, Porcher has seen consistent growth and is recognised for its commitment to product quality and customer service.
The partnership with Novus will enable Porcher to accelerate its growth through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. As part of this new chapter, Novus and Edward Porcher will work together to build on the company’s established platform and drive a pan-European expansion strategy. This includes investment in new capabilities, enhanced commercial reach, and operational scale.
Porcher will also serve as the foundational investment in an ambitious industrial buy-and-build strategy led by Novus, with the aim of creating a group of leading businesses serving essential industrial end-markets.

The transaction completed in April 2025. Financial terms are not disclosed.
